Card Swap

The last Sunday of the month, 10 ladies meet at a restaurant and swap cards. The themes have been picked for the month.  Some months there may be some that can't make it.  This month we had 8 trading and had to use polymer clay  somewhere on the card.  This group has such an interesting interpretation in every

topic.  This one is the card that I did.  I used the Hostess set Asian Artistry.  I baked the rolled out clay and then cut it with a template cut with my large oval punch and 1 1/4 circle punch.  Although you cannot see it that well in the picture, I used the Faux Silk technique with the flowers.

I had asked the group, if I could post their cards on my blog. Two ladies were not there so will not post them until I get their permission.  Here are a couple more cards and I will post the others another day.

Carol Milgram did this cute card.  She rolled the clay and then pressed the stamp into the soft clay and then baked it.  After it cooled she painted the image with markers.  She also used a embossing folder that reminded you of a marsh/pond where the frog would be found.  She  used the Modern label punch for the wording.  I apologize for the blurry picture, but I must have taken it about 10 times.

Polymer clay

Dawnica Flatt did this card.  She rolled the clay and then used a lid off of a bottle to cut out the circle.  She then baked it and then stamped the sayings on it.  She used a corner punch that I think Stampin Up used to sell and also the stamp  from the "Lovely as a Tree".  I just love this set.  It is so versatile.  I probably will make another Christmas card using it.  Dawnica finished off her card using an Embossing Folder, Mulberry Paper and jute.

Thank you ladies for allowing me to share these photos.  Will send the other 3 cards later this week.  'Til then.
