A Card Swap.

We just got back together after the Summer break to do our monthly swap.  As usual they were great. I will share some of them with you in the next few days.  We had the theme of Halloween or Thanksgiving.  Did you know that Halloween is one of the Top Two Holidays that is celebrated every year?  I really wasn't much of a Halloween person until this year.  Stampin Up has so many cool things that I have even decorated a bit for it this year.  I kinda broke away from my normal conservative style and did a Witch card. I had so much fun doing this card.

The witch's shirt is made from a scallop circle punch and then just scored it about every 3/8" and folded to make it look like it has pleats. The stamp set is Wicked Cool.  The stockings and boots is what sold me on this set.  I remember a couple years ago, I had a neighbour that had a decoration that looked like a witch had crashed into their house.  This stamp set reminded me of that and I knew that I had to make some cards with it. I used a two way glue stick to get the glitter for the hat and stocking on it.  Another thing that I was tickled with was the saying on it.I used the Bat punch and two oval punches.  Check out the picture.

I love it when something like that just happens.  It looked like I knew what I was doing. Watch for some of the other swaps within the next few days.

Happy Stamping
